Over £1m investment in heritage buildings and the public realm is Tewkesbury’s to use following its successful bid to be part of the Heritage Action Zones project managed by Historic England on behalf of HM government.

In Tewkesbury this means there are grants available to shop tenants and landlords to improve their façades (up to 75% of cost) or bring upper floors back into domestic use (up to 50% of costs), a calendar of events showcasing and teaching traditional craft skills for buildings and a fresh look at the face Tewkesbury’s historic town centre presents to the world.

Read on to find out more about what’s on offer and how you can get involved.

Don’t delay apply while funds last. Final date for applying for a grant: Friday, 1 September 2023.
