Community Funding Support

In the last few years, we have supported community groups in the borough to raise over £2,000,000 in grant funding. This has included funding for sports clubs, social groups, village halls, community venues, art projects, religious groups, youth clubs and neighbourhood projects.

If you are looking for funding for a new or existing project or activity, have a look at our top tips for finding funding. We can support your community group with:

  • Finding funding opportunities and grants which are suitable to raise the money your community group needs

Current Open Grant Programmes: 

Warm Space Grant Funding:

Tewkesbury Borough Council is able to support organisations running Warm Spaces through the winter with a grant of up to £1,000. Details of Warm Space funding, including timelines for application are available here. Applications close on 1 October 2026.

Crisis and Resilience Fund: Cost of Living Community Grants programme:

Gloucestershire County Council has received a Crisis and Resilience Fund allocation from the UK Government. For the first financial year of this fund, a proportion of this has been distributed to each district council. Tewkesbury Borough Council has allocated £50,000 to support organisations across the borough that assist residents struggling with the cost of living.

This funding will support the provision of face-to-face advice, practical assistance, and pilot money management or budgeting courses.

  • Funding is only available to organisations that meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Spending must be completed by 31 March 2027.
  • Deadline for applications: 12 noon, 21 October 2026.
