A Met Office red weather alert has been put in place for Friday, 18 February to coincide with the arrival of Storm Eunice.

  • Flying debris resulting in danger to life

  • Damage to buildings and homes, with roofs blown off and power lines brought down

  • Uprooted trees

  • Roads, bridges and railway lines closed, with delays and cancellations to public transport and flights

  • Power cuts affecting other services, such as mobile phone coverage
