Households and landlords in Tewkesbury Borough could boost their energy efficiency with free expert energy advice from Severn Wye Energy Agency, made available across Gloucestershire.

Successful applicants will receive a home energy advice report and energy efficiency action plan from a Severn Wye home energy specialist, worth over £500. Following the home assessment, ongoing support will be available to help homeowners turn their action plan into reality. This could include impartial advice on comparing quotes, help finding appropriate installers, as well as accessing funding toward installations for those eligible.

This fully funded home-energy advice and support is available to qualifying homeowners who have the finances to pay for energy efficiency improvements to their properties but need more information and support to act. The scheme is open to eligible homeowners and private landlords, including for rural homes, those of historic importance, or those considered more complex to improve due to their location or non-standard construction.

The energy landscape can be particularly complex for private landlords. This funding will help identify the right energy efficiency investments for their properties.

The scheme is being delivered by Severn Wye’s home energy advice experts, who are working in partnership with the South West Net Zero Hub to deliver the £405,000 funding from the Local Energy Advice Demonstrator Programme (LEAD), from the central government’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ).

For more information about the service and to apply for a full-funded survey, visit Services – Severn Wye. The scheme will run for the next two years, but places are limited – so apply now.

If you are a tenant, it is your landlord who needs to apply to this scheme. For support with your home energy, visit warmandwell.co.uk.
