Waste and recycling collections on Good Friday (15 April) will go ahead as normal.

Collections the following week will take place a day later than scheduled to catch up after bank holiday Monday.

Catch up collections will run from Tuesday, 19 April through to Saturday, 23 April. Normal collections begin again on Monday, 25 April.

Cllr Jim Mason, Lead Member for Clean and Green Environment, said: “Easter can be a particularly wasteful time with the extra packaging that comes with Easter eggs and the potential for more waste to be created as more of us are at home. The aim is not to use more than we need, but where we have unavoidable waste, we hope that our recycling bins and food caddies will make it really easy to recycle as much of it as possible.”
