Refuse, recycling, food and garden waste collections will change for Tewkesbury Borough residents over Christmas and the New Year.

Throughout the weeks beginning Monday 26 December, Monday 2 January and Monday 9 January, residents will need to put their bins out later than normal.

The full list of rescheduled dates can be read below. Alternatively, residents can check their collection dates by entering their postcode at www.tewkesbury.gov.uk/recycling.

Tewkesbury Borough Council’s Lead member for clean and green environment, Councillor Jim Mason, said: “We all generate more refuse than usual over Christmas and New Year, so please check these revised dates for putting out your bins and food caddy so you don’t miss any collections.“With all the extra waste, it’s more important than ever to recycle the right items – have a look at our website if you’re not sure about something.“This year, you can also use the new Gloucestershire Recycles Waste Wizard search function to find out different ways to repair, reuse or recycle household items. Visit gloucestershirerecycles.com/waste-wizard to find out more.

“On behalf of us all, I’d like to thank the collection crews for working extra hard over Christmas and helping us to get rid of all our waste.”
