Weather warning – update 21 September

Following the recent weather, continued outbreaks of heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected, please check the latest Met Office forecasts www.metoffice.gov.uk or download the Met Office app.
If your home is prone to flooding, contact your parish council for sandbags. The depot on Lower Lode Lane in Tewkesbury also has a limited number of sand bags available for collection until 6pm tonight (Saturday, 21 September).
Please remember:
- Always follow emergency services advice. Flash flooding is dangerous. Know the signs. Don’t walk or drive through water. www.gov.uk/guidance/flash-flooding
- Check local road closures at Roads | Highways (gloucestershire.gov.uk) follow @GlosRoads on X (formerly twitter) or call 08000 514 514 if roads become impassable.
- Always keep children away from flooding – water can be fast flowing and conceal hidden dangers such as sharp objects.
