Tewkesbury Borough Council proudly supports 2025 Tewkesbury Tri Club Aquathlon series
Tewkesbury Borough Council is supporting the Tewkesbury Tri Club Aquathlon Series and encouraging residents and communities to get involved.
The council’s property team has issued a licence to the Tewkesbury Tri Club Aquathlon, allowing them to use the football field behind Tewkesbury Leisure Centre for their events. The series will kick off on Sunday, 23 February 2025.
The granting of a licence directly supports the Council Plan’s focus on health and wellbeing to assist with ensuring communities are robust, healthy, and thriving places to live.
Participants of the Aquathlon will start with a 400m pool swim in the Tewkesbury Leisure Centre’s excellent 25m pool, followed by a flat 5k multi-terrain run. The event promises to be a fantastic opportunity for everyone to get involved in a fun sporting activity, open to all abilities.
Cllr Alex Hegenbarth, Lead Member for Housing and Community, said: “We are delighted to support the Tewkesbury Tri Club Aquathlon series. This event not only promotes health and fitness but also brings our community together. If you’re interested in having a go, please contact the club. Alternatively, Tewkesbury Leisure Centre offers fantastic facilities and a variety of exciting opportunities for anyone looking to try something new.”
The Aquathlon series will also continue on Sunday, 23 March and Sunday, 27 April 2025.
