Tewkesbury Borough Council launches survey to support Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing sector
The Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing (AEM) sector in Tewkesbury Borough is a cornerstone of local business growth and innovation. Recognising its significance, Tewkesbury Borough Council has commissioned a comprehensive study to further develop its strategy for supporting and expanding the AEM sector.
The council has appointed research consultancy GC Insight, to gain a deeper understanding of the skills requirements of AEM businesses within the borough. A survey has been developed for AEM businesses that targets a diverse range of businesses activities, including but not limited to:
- Aerospace and satellites
- Precision measurement and machining
- Food and drink manufacture
- Automotive
- Nuclear engineering
- Electronic circuitry
- Autonomy and robotics
- Advanced materials and processing
Cllr Richard Stanley, Leader of Tewkesbury Borough Council said: “I encourage all businesses involved in advanced engineering and manufacturing activities, located in and around Tewkesbury Borough, to participate in this survey. Your input is invaluable in shaping the future strategy to support and grow this sector in our local area.”
