Shop locally this Christmas with free parking!
Tewkesbury Borough Council will be offering three days of free parking in council-owned car parks in Tewkesbury town and Winchcombe to encourage people to shop locally in the run-up to Christmas.
This is a great incentive to support local businesses while avoiding unnecessary travel and discovering a unique festive shopping experience.
The dates for Tewkesbury are:
- Sunday 21 November
- Saturday 4 December
- Saturday 18 December
The dates for Winchcombe are:
- Saturday 4 December
- Saturday 11 December
- Saturday 18 December
Councillor Robert Vines, lead member for finance and asset management, said: “We would like residents to do their Christmas shopping near to home and hope our offer of free parking will encourage them to do so. They will not only find a great variety of shops with a splendid array of gifts and festive fare, but will also be lending their valued support to our local businesses.”
