Making the plan: 17 April 2018
At it’s Full Council meeting on the 17 April 2018, Tewkesbury Borough Council brought the Neighbourhood Plan into legal force, under Section 38A(4) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004. The Neighbourhood Plan now forms part of the statutory Development Plan for the Borough of Tewkesbury.
Referendum: 1 March 2018
At Referendum on Thursday 1 March 2018 the Twyning Neighbourhood Development Plan secured the majority required of those voting for Tewkesbury Borough Council to use the plan to help it decide planning applications in the Neighbourhood Area, with a 48.06% turnout and 95.90% voting yes.
Examination: 16 November 2017
Following the close of the six week consultation period on the 4 August 2017 the Twyning Neighbourhood Development Plan was subject to independent examination. The report of the independent examiner of the Twyning Neighbourhood Development Plan, Ms Liz Beth, was received on Thursday 16 November 2017.
Consultation: 4 August 2017
Between 26 June until the 4 August 2017 the Plan was consulted on, in accordance with Regulation 16, as a ‘plan proposal’. A report summarising the consultation responses received can be viewed below.
Submission: 20 June 2017
Twyning Parish Council submitted a Neighbourhood Development Plan, in accordance with Regulation 15 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, to Tewkesbury Borough Council on the 20 June 2017.
Neighbourhood area designation: 8 January 2014
Twyning Parish Council applied to designate a neighbourhood area for the preparation of a neighbourhood development plan, which was validated on 25 October 2013. In accordance with the provisions of Regulation 5 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, as amended a consultation on the proposed neighbourhood area was undertaken, ending on 6 December 2013. The meeting of the Executive Committee on 8 January 2014 resolved ‘That the designation of neighbourhood plan areas covering Twyning Parish be approved.’
