Referendum: 1 March 2018

At Referendum on Thursday 1 March 2018 the Twyning Neighbourhood Development Plan secured the majority required of those voting for Tewkesbury Borough Council to use the plan to help it decide planning applications in the Neighbourhood Area, with a 48.06% turnout and 95.90% voting yes.

Examination: 16 November 2017

Following the close of the six week consultation period on the 4 August 2017 the Twyning Neighbourhood Development Plan was subject to independent examination. The report of the independent examiner of the Twyning Neighbourhood Development Plan, Ms Liz Beth, was received on Thursday 16 November 2017.

Neighbourhood area designation: 8 January 2014

Twyning Parish Council applied to designate a neighbourhood area for the preparation of a neighbourhood development plan, which was validated on 25 October 2013. In accordance with the provisions of Regulation 5 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, as amended a consultation on the proposed neighbourhood area was undertaken, ending on 6 December 2013. The meeting of the Executive Committee on 8 January 2014 resolved ‘That the designation of neighbourhood plan areas covering Twyning Parish be approved.
