Joint core strategy (JCS)

The joint core strategy (JCS) is a partnership between Gloucester City Council, Cheltenham Borough Council and Tewkesbury Borough Council, which sets out a strategic planning framework for the three areas. The JCS was adopted by all three councils in December 2017 and is now undergoing a review.

Tewkesbury borough plan adoption

The Tewkesbury borough plan 2011-2031 was adopted on 8 June 2022 at a special meeting of the Council. The adoption statement can be viewed below.

The adopted plan and accompanying policies maps can be viewed below.

Hard copies of the plan are also available for inspection at:

Tewkesbury Borough Council, Council Offices, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, GL20 5TT.

Available: Monday – Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4pm.

The Tewkesbury borough plan 2011 – 2031 now forms part of the development plan for Tewkesbury borough.  It replaces the saved policies of the Tewkesbury borough local plan to 2011.
