Tewkesbury Borough Council housing and homelessness strategy 2026-28
Our housing strategy for 2026–2028 sets out our vision and plans for housing and homelessness prevention in the borough.
We know how important it is for residents to be able to access good quality housing and housing related services that make a real difference to their lives.
The following key themes for the Strategy have been shaped through consultation with our partners and stakeholders:
- Maximise the supply of appropriate affordable housing, giving priority to social rented homes and other tenures that meet our community’s need.
- Making best use of existing housing within the borough.
- Providing safe, suitable homes and tailored support for specific groups, including people experiencing homelessness or rough sleeping.
Gloucestershire Local Housing Needs Assessment 2019
Completed in 2019 and published in 2020, the Gloucestershire Local Housing Needs Assessment (LHNA or ‘Lorna’) informs the Housing Strategy.
