Citizens Access (Landlord Portal)

Our Housing Benefit Team has introduced Citizens Access (Landlord Portal).

This portal allows landlords and agents, to view details of all awards of Housing Benefit where payment is made directly to the landlord or agent. It also provides payment and claim entitlement details for individual claims, and a facility to download all payments on a payment schedule.

The available functionality is summarised below:

View Payments

  • Search and Check for payments made
  • View the payment transactions included in the overall payment for the claim(s) searched for
  • Link from each transaction to the associated claim details page for that particular claim
  • Export payment information via .csv file for import into your databases

View Claims

  • Search for one or many claims
  • Details of the current weekly Housing Benefit entitlement
  • Current claim status, including whether claim is live or suspended (including reason for suspension)
  • Details of payments made, including any recovery for overpayments

Request access to the portal

If you do not already have an account, you will need to request access from your nominated Super User.

If your organisation does not yet have a nominated Super User, your organisation will need to be set up, so please email with the following information:

  • Landlord Account Reference
  • Landlord / Housing Association name
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number

Once these details are received, the Super User will be registered, and further details will be sent giving details on how to access the portal. Once registered, a Super User can add additional users for that organisation. In order to comply with Data Protection Legislation, we require all users of our Landlord Portal to have unique, individual access, and not have a generic user ID for all staff to use.
