Under Section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, contributions can be sought from developers to provide and/or improve community and social infrastructure. This only applies where the need has arisen as a direct result of a new development taking place.

For a range of reasons the terms upon which some financial contributions can be spent are not sufficiently specific. In these cases the council is asking for expression of interests on how these section 106 funds can be allocated and spent.

Please find below details of S106 sums that are currently available for community and sport facility capital projects. These sums will need to provide for the population arising from the new development.  If you believe your project is applicable, please complete the expression of interest form below.

Current live expressions of interest

Please fill in the expression of interest form: Section 106 expression of interest form (doc, 42KB).

We advise you contact your area officer before submitting an expression of interest. Please see link for contact: Community development map (pdf, 1 MB)

Each expression of interest will be advertised for 10 weeks. If you submit an expression of interest form after the 10 weeks has past it will not be considered.
