Residents asked for their views on the proposed new community centre in Bishop’s Cleeve.
Residents in the Cleevelands housing development and the surrounding area in Bishop’s Cleeve are being asked what they want to see from the proposed Cleevelands community centre, that is set to be built by Persimmon Homes.
The survey is available both online and in paper format until Monday, 5 August, and is being co-ordinated by Gloucestershire Rural Community Council (GRCC) on behalf of Tewkesbury Borough Council and Bishop’s Cleeve Parish Council.
The online survey can be completed at online1.snapsurveys.com/CleevelandsCommunityCentre. Paper copies will be available from the Bishop’s Cleeve Parish Council offices from today, Thursday 11 July.
Cllr Alex Hegenbarth Lead Member for Housing and Communities said: ‘’It is important that the design of the centre reflects the needs of the local community. We recognise the value that comes from a multi-purpose hub that offers different things for different people.
‘’I would urge all Bishop’s Cleeve residents to complete the survey and tell us what they want to see. Whether it’s a hall for concerts or breakout spaces for youth clubs, play schemes, fitness classes or social clubs, please give your view. We can’t promise everything, but everyone’s opinion will be taken into account.’’
Once the survey closes, the GRCC will present the findings to the borough and parish councils who will work collaboratively to agree the final design and layout.
