Please note there are no scheduled elections taking place in the Tewkesbury Borough area on Thursday, 7 May 2026.

Residents, businesses, and partners in Tewkesbury Borough are being asked for their views in a new consultation for the borough council’s Housing and Homelessness Prevention Strategy for 2026 to 2028.

The consultation launches on Monday, 9 February, and runs for six weeks until Sunday, 15 March.

The new strategy will be used to guide how the council works with people to find homes that are safe, affordable, and suitable for their needs. It will also set out how the council works with residents and partners to prevent homelessness wherever possible.

Councillor Alex Hegenbarth, Lead Member for Community and Housing, said: “It’s important that our Housing and Homelessness Prevention Strategy follows the latest guidance, so we can continue to offer residents the best possible support and advice.

“We’re keen to hear from people living in the borough, as well as local businesses and community groups. By taking part in the consultation, you can help shape our priorities and ensure the final plan reflects what matters most to our communities.”

The consultation will run for six weeks, with the strategy due to go before the council’s Overview and Scrutiny Committee in March, and Executive Committee and Council later in the year.
