Move More selected to operate Homelands Community Centre following competitive tender process

Tewkesbury Borough Council is pleased to announce that Move More has been selected as the operator for the new community facility – Homelands Community Centre, following a rigorous and competitive tender process.
As part of the council’s due diligence and planning agreement, the process of acquiring the Homelands Community Building in Bishops Cleeve from Vistry Homes is now underway. Once complete, Move More will manage the building to benefit the community from the Autumn.

I look forward to working with Move More to ensure Homelands Community Centre becomes a vibrant resource that reflects the needs and aspirations of our communities.”
Move More, a registered charity working with schools, communities, and families to empower children in Gloucestershire and the surrounding area to embrace the benefits of an active, healthy lifestyle and foster lifelong well-being, submitted a standout bid that emerged as the strongest among all submissions. The proposal demonstrated thoughtful, inclusive use of the space to benefit a diverse range of community members, aligning closely with our vision ‘Supporting people, strengthening communities’, for inclusive and accessible public benefit.

Move More’s submission met key criteria including, environmental sustainability, energy efficiency and innovation. The organisation also presented a robust business plan, demonstrating clear financial acumen and comprehensive management strategies – essential for the smooth operation of any facility.
