At 11am on Saturday, 10 September, the national announcement of the new Sovereign, known as the Proclamation, was made from St James’s Palace.
The Proclamation was then read in Cardiff, Belfast and Edinburgh at 12pm or 12:30pm on Sunday, 11 September.
Following this, local Proclamations were made at 2pm on Sunday, 11 September.
In Tewkesbury Borough, Cllr John Murphy, Mayor of Tewkesbury Borough, read the local Proclamation.
The Proclamation took place on the steps of the Public Service Centre on Gloucester Road to members of the public and official invitees.
The mayor was joined by Colonel Mike Bennet who introduced the mayor and addressed those who were gathered.
