Leader’s statement following the death of the Duchess of Kent

Cllr Richard Stanley, Leader of the council, has issued a statement on behalf of the mayor and council following the passing of Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Kent.
“Today we send our sincere condolences to the Royal Family following the death of the Duchess of Kent. Her contribution to charities and community organisations was inspiring and I’m sure they too will feel her passing particularly profoundly. Our flag at the Public Services Centre flies at half mast as we pay our respects to her today.”
