A new support grant is now available for hospitality, leisure and accommodation businesses in Tewkesbury Borough that have been financially impacted by the rise of the Covid-19 Omicron variant.
The Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant will support businesses that provide an in-person service and that operate from business-rated premises. Eligible businesses will receive a one-off payment of up to £6,000.
The grant is open for applications now with a closing date of Monday, 28 February 2022. All payments will be made by Thursday, 31 March 2022.
Councillor Rob Bird, leader of Tewkesbury Borough Council, said: “With the spread of the Omicron variant, Covid-19 is still adversely impacting businesses throughout the borough, in particular those involved in hospitality and leisure that are likely to be affected by a reduction in custom and last-minute cancellations.
“We are committed to providing help by offering further funding in the form of this new grant, and I advise all business owners in these sectors to check to see if they are eligible.”
