Flood awareness – Tuesday, 26 November
While flood levels remain high, data from the Environment Agency indicates that the Severn and Avon have peaked and are expected to drop slowly during today.
There is some rain forecast tonight and officers remain on standby to respond, however Met Office data suggests that rainfall will not affect river levels.
The Vineyards Car Park and Rails Meadow Car Park, both located in Tewkesbury, are affected by flooding. Permit holders for these two car parks may use their permits to park in any other Tewkesbury Borough Council-owned car park without any further payments.
Today, council officers are visiting vulnerable residents who are affected in rural locations to ensure they have essential supplies and to offer support.
