Financial support available for flooded homes

Residents whose homes have been damaged by the recent floods can now apply for financial support to help with immediate costs.
The Community Recovery Grant allows eligible residents whose homes were either internally flooded or deemed unliveable for longer than 48 hours to apply for £500 per household to help them with their immediate recovery.
The Government has made the funding available to local authorities in communities that have been significantly impacted by Storm Henk flooding.
Tewkesbury Borough Council’s Lead Member for Finance and Asset Management, Councillor Stewart Dove, said: “The launch of the Community Recovery Grant is welcome news, providing financial support to residents whose properties have been flooded following Storm Henk. I would encourage anyone from Tewkesbury Borough who has had floodwater enter their property to apply for a £500 grant.”
