Borough business shares its success story at sold out summer networking event

More than 30 business leaders attended Tewkesbury Borough Business Voice Network’s August networking event. Held at Piston Distillery, guests heard the story behind the business and the role that support from The Growth Hub Tewkesbury played in its growth.
Managing Director Grace Stringer-Jukes shared the ups and downs the business has faced and overcome and talked about the brand’s plans to grow its export operation.
Those attending were able to sample the brand’s beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) while touring its Gin School and base on the Bamfurlong Industrial Estate.
Grace Stringer-Jukes, said: “We’re constantly adapting and evolving to stay relevant, so having the opportunity to discuss challenges with other local businesses is really valuable.
“I was able to share Piston’s story and some of the plans we have with the network and also make some connections that will hopefully lead to some interesting collaborations in the future.”
The event was introduced by Councillor Richard Stanley, Leader and Lead Member for Economic Development at Tewkesbury Borough Council.

“It’s important to have consistent dialogue with businesses to understand the issues they face and how we can support them. Our latest event is another example of exactly what the network is about, hearing the stories of the incredible businesses here in our borough while also enabling businesses to build relationships with the council and each other.”
The summer networking event was the first evening event hosted by the network and the first in the latest planned programme of Tewkesbury Borough Business Voice Network events.
The network has grown since events resumed in 2024, with places consistently fully booked and attendances of more than 30 businesses at a time.
Feedback gathered at events shows that 100 per cent of attendees say they would attend another event and recommend the network to colleagues.
